Colt Paterson Second Model Ring Lever percussion revolving carbine, .44 cal., 24” octagon barrel, eight shot with loading lever, wood stock, #406. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a light brown patina to metal surfaces with scattered spots of erosion and pin prick pitting; additionally some more moderate pitting on the recoil shield; good barrel address, approx. 75% cylinder scene remaining; good action and bore, period replaced rear sight with a blank in another dovetail approx. halfway down the top of the barrel flat, small blade front sight; traces of case color on cocking ring and trigger assembly; slight crack on the rear guide of the loading lever, an old small ding on one of the muzzle flats and an old clean break to the small finger rest just behind the trigger guard. The wood stock is in very good condition showing beautiful graining and just a small old repair of an approx. 2” crack at the top right side of the butt stock. A nice overall example of one of the earliest produced Colt firearms. From the Richard Wolfe Estate. Est.: $15,000-$30,000.
