Colt Paterson No. 3 Belt Model revolver with flared grips in original case with full original accessories, serial number 848. This Paterson shows a 5 ½” barrel, blued finish, varnished wood grips and in .31 caliberpercussion. The barrel retains 80% to 90% original blue with some beginning minor erosion and pinprick pitting with slight drifting at the edges. The barrel address is sharp and clear also the end of the muzzleshows almost no wear (Very crisp). The cylinder shows 80% to 90% original scene and 30% to 50% drifting original blue. The frame shows 30% to 50% case hardening with some faint but evident rainbow colors. The recoilshield and a few small areas show some pinprick pitting. The grips fit well and show a nice grain and are at least very good overall. Matching serial numbers including the wedge and the gun cocks and worksperfectly with a fine bore. The revolver is contained within an absolutely original case and the case shows correct Paterson style beveled lid, correct key plate and nameplate. The exterior of the case shows 75% plus
