Manufactured in 1876. The top of the barrel has the two line Hartford address, patent marking on the barrel underside, and etched "COLT NEW 41" on the left side of the barrel. "41 CAL" is stamped on the left side of the frame. Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, and cylinder.
BBL: 2 1/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 41 RF
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: rosewood
Serial Number: 6232
Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 25% of original blue finish and the cylinder retains traces of original blue finish with the overall balance a smooth brown patina. The frame retains 60% original vivid case colors with the balance a smooth dark gray. The etched panel is clear. There is a minor chip missing from the right panel near the bottom, otherwise the grips are fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor handling marks. Mechanically functions, but is slightly out of time; needs minor work. Still a very attractive Colt New Line .41 Revolver.
