Colt New Black Powder Series 3rd model Dragoon fully and finally engraved by A. A. White, firearms engravers as a tribute to L. D. Nimschke, 1 of only 50. The revolver is deluxe scroll engraved in the 19th century masters classic Germanic style scroll. There is a hand engraved inscription on the left side of the barrel lug which reads, “L. D. Nimschke, Firearms Engraver, 1832-1904”. The revolver is fitted with raised carved ivory grips showing the American Eagle on both sides holding the American shield with the slogan “Liberty” on banner. The Dragoon is silver and gold plated and serial numbered 24924. The Colt is also cased in a French style fitted case with purple velveteen lining and blue Moroccan leather exterior that is gold embossed with the information “The Heritage Guild, L. D. Nimscke Firearms Engraver 1832-1904, The 1 of 50 Dragoon”. The revolver remains in mint original condition and shows no firing or use just slight handling. 99.9% plus to new. The case shows a couple of minor marks. Est.: $4,000-$8,000.
