Colt New Army model double-action .38 caliber revolver, factory 5” barrel, blued finish, pearl grips, gold-plated sideplate on right side of revolver engraved in block letters “Presented to W. H. Casey by Wm. A.Pinkerton, 3-15-08” The remainder of the pistol is blue finish with a start on the bow of the right triggerguard indicating return to factory. Serial #92635. The revolver shows 75-85% original factory blue with goodmarkings, good edges. The pearl grips are thick and fit impeccably. The action is good, the bore is bright. A photograph of W. H. Casey is included, dated approx. 1924 and is the older gentlemen on the left, who seems to have a connection with Pinkerton in regard to security for racetracks that he owned or was involved with. William A. Pinkerton took over the famous Pinkerton company from his father Allan and was world recognized for his work in the security, protection, and law enforcement accomplishments.
