Colt Model 1911 U.S. Navy marked with documenting letters as one of a hundred issued to the U.S.S. Texas Battleship serial #43980. A documenting letter by Colt automatic pistol expert Scott Meadowsconfirms information as being recorded with Naval Bureau of Ordinance. The Colt retains 70-80% original blue that is evenly drifting and aging. There is some minor spotting but generally sharp with good markings. Thegrips are good with some edge wear. The barrel shows “P&H” inspections and all original small parts and markings. The lot includes a two tone lanyard bottom clip in like condition. The bore is good with someuse but still clean. Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
