Colt Model 1911 Marina Argentina Gov't Model Semi-Automatic Pistol, #C6263, .45 ACP cal., 5'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered large diamond walnut grips, with one two-tone lanyard loop magazine. This serial number was shipped to the Argentine Naval Commission, River Ship Building Corp., Quincy, Mass., on April 11, 1914, in a 100-gun shipment, with all information verified by factory letter, including the Marina Argentina markings. This was the first 100 pistols shipped to the Marina Argentina and destined for the battleship Rivadavia. Condition is excellent as professionally restored in the 1990s, retaining approx. 99% correct carbona blue. Markings have been panographed for clarity, with good action and fine bore.
