Colt Model 1911-A1, U.S. property marked .45 ACP caliber semi-automatic pistol in good to very good condition showing brown leather World War II era unmarked holster, serial number 1126979. The pistol shows most of its original parkerizedfinish going slightly dull with some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting and some losses at the high points and edges from being carried. There is a scratch beneath the slide release and some other minor handling marks. The slide showsoriginal line from hardening and the frame shows G.HD inspection with “P” inspection beneath the clip release and on top of the slide. The barrel shows most of its original blue and the interior shows a bright bore. A blued military clip ofcorrect era is included. All correct Colt parts. Obtained by William A. Gary in World War II as a Marine Corps officer in the Pacific theater. The collection of William A. Gary consigned by his estate Est.: $900-$1800
