Pistol. Semi-Automatic. U.S. Military Issued sidearm. WW1 era pistol manufactured 1918. "GHS" in circle inspectors mark above magazine release. (Major Gilbert H. Stewart). Right Slide stamped "Model of 1911. U.S. Army" Colt's Patent's and Address in two lines on left slide with "Rampant Colt". "United States property" on left frame. Smooth, flat mainspring housing. Grip safety. Blued finish. Brown checkered wood "Diamond" grips. Bore appears good bright, strong rifling, with very light scattered pitting. Grips are very good. Action is crisp/tight. Pistol appears to have a old re-blued finish, about 60% with edge wear/minor scratches. Handling loss to the mainspring housing and fore grip. There is light scattered pin-prick pitting on the metal surfaces. Comes with one 8-rd two-tone. lanyard ring magazine. Magazine has some scattered areas of light pitting. Comes with one extra magazine, unmarked, russet leather holster with 'US" embossed on the flap, marked 'G&K 1918 W.J.D. Original issue lanyard attached. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.
