Colt Model 1902 Military Semi-Automatic Pistol
Manufactured in late 1912. This pistol has the square butt, slide lock on the left side of the slide, lanyard swivel and eight-round magazine that distinguish it from the Colt Model 1902 "Sporting" pistol. Features rear slide serrations, blue barrel and two tone magazine marked "MIL / COLT / 38CAL" on the bottom. Left side of the slide is roll stamped with the standard two block two line patent dates and Hartford address, with the circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations. Standard two line caliber markings on the right side of the slide. The left side of the trigger guard bow is stamped with a "W" assembler's mark on the lower rear and the Colt "VP/triangle" proofmark on the front top. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in a banner at the top and the Rampant Colt in a circle in the center.

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 75% plus original finish overall with the balance a smooth gray patina on the front and backstraps, and on the trigger guard. There are a few minor dings and scratches. The barrel retains approximately 95% original blue finish with wear limited to the muzzle and chamber area from cycling the action. The trigger retains approximately 90% of the original bright fire blue finish and the hammer 80% of the original case colors. The grips are fine with scuffing and wear on the lower edge of the right panel a few overall scattered minor dings and crisp checkering. All markings are sharp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
