This late production Colt Model 1902 Military Automatic pistol was manufactured in 1920. The pistol has the Colt high polish commercial blue finish on the slide and frame, color case-hardened hammer and lanyard swivel. The barrel is blued and has a polished chamber. The black, two piece, grips are checkered hard rubber with the encircled Rampant Colt trademark in the middle and "COLT" in a ribbon at the top. The pistol has the square butt, eight-shot magazine, slide lock on the left side of the frame, lanyard swivel on the left side of the butt,, spur hammer and grip serrations on the rear of the slide that identify it as a standard production M1902 Military pistol. The right side of the slide is roll-stamped: "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" in front of the ejection port. A Colt inspection mark "48" is stamped on the right side of the trigger bow. The left side of the slide is roll-stamped: "PATENTED/APR.20, 1897. SEPT.9, 1902" in a two-line block followed by the two-line Hartford address.. The Rampant Colt trademark is stamped on the left side of the slide behind the serrations. The serial number, "41850" is roll-stamped on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with the assembler's mark "1" above the Colt "VP/Triangle" proof mark. The magazine has a full blue finish and is roll-stamped: "MIL./COLT/38 CAL." I three lines on the floor plate.

Gauge: 38 Rimless
Finish: blue
Grips: black hard rubber
Serial Number: 41805
Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 85% of the original high polish blue finish. There are several very minor rust spots on the left side of the butt below the grip. The finish on the grip straps is thin and shows moderate handling wear. There are some very minor scratches and handling marks on the top and sides of the frame. The grips are in excellent condition with light handling wear. There is a little spot of pitting on the lower left grip frame. This is a very fine example of a Colt Model 1902 Military Automatic pistol.
