#1153 (only number that appears on gun), number 1153 stamped on frame, butt, cylinder, swing out cylinder toggle and cylinder swing out/ejector rod support. Butt is stamped: U.S. Army (only letters RM are visible – very faint), Model 1892, No. 1153 Original walnut grips (small chip bottom corner left side), 1901 appears above inspector cartouche both of which are stamped d. Initials in Cartouche are not clear. Inspector initials R.A.C. and L.E.B. are stamped left side of frame. R.A.C. also appear on cylinder and bottom of barrel. 6 shot cylinder, 38 Cal. Cylinder revolves counter clockwise. Top of barrel stamped "Colt’s PT FA MFG Co. Hartford, CT. USA – Patented Aug, 5 1884 – Nov. 6, 88 – Mar. 5, 95. Left side of barrel stamped “Colt D.A. 38. Action in good working order. Requires FFL Transfer.
