3" barrel marked Colt D. A. 38 and Colt Company Name and Hartford Address, Pat. 1884 and 1888, #30812. Matching assembly numbers (419) on frame and cylinder area. Made from 1889 to 1894. First Colt with "Swing – out Cylinder" and the Cylinder Revolves "Counter Clockwise". Hard Rubber Colt grips, chip on bottom of left grip. Carried by Lake County, Montana Deputy Sheriff. Purchased years ago from a Ronan, Montana retired gunsmith. Requires FFL Transfer.
