#16475, Cal. 44-40 made in 1885. Barrel 5 ½", stamped top of barrel "Colt’s Pt. F.A. MFG. CO, Hartford, Ct. U.S.A. – 44 stamped on bottom of barrel, 44 cal. stamped left side of trigger guard. Serial number 16475 appears on butt next to lanyard swivel. Cylinder has no serial number. Grips are original checkered walnut as on early models. Checkering on grips is quite worn (smooth) indicating that it was often used/carried. Considerable amount of its original nickel finish remains. Included is the holster (which fits it perfectly) and belt that came with the revolver. Purchased from one of the Carnes Brothers during a gun show in Williston, North Dakota. Reportedly collected in the Medora/Sentinel Butte area. Action works. Does not require FFL Transfer.
