Colt Model 1878 DA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, checkered hard rubber grips, lanyard ring, #7210 accompanied by a later made lined wood case with brass corners, a cartridge wood block, a cleaningrod and an interesting hallmarked cut out star badge marked Texas Ranger Co. D. This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 40% original nickel with balance of gun a light grey tone; some nicks and marsfrom carry and storage, good action, markings and bore; overall good to very good grips. The casing is a nicely made and shows some age; the badge is hallmarked “Haltom Sterling” showing some scattered patina; ageand origin of the badge cannot be determined. Est.: $1,750-$3,500.
