Colt Model 1877 double action lightning revolver in .38 caliber with 4 ½” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, serial number 115227 made in approximately 1900. Inventory card from Bill Gary collection indicates this pistolwas carried by William Archibald Gary when he was cashier of the Greenville Texas Bank. The revolver remains in fine to near excellent original condition showing 90% to 95% bright original blue finish with some slight losses at the muzzle andgripping areas also at high points of the cylinder. There are some minor scratches and handling marks. The frame retains 95% plus bright and fiery case hardening showing just a slight amount of aging. The trigger and back of hammershow 98% plus mirror bright blue finish. The grips show just some very slight handling and minimal edge wear and are fine overall. All matching visible serial numbers. The small parts and screws show bright original fire blue. The sides of thehammer shows the mirror bright original polish. The action works perfectly and the bore is near mint.
