Colt Model 1877 Lightning DA revolver, .38 cal., 4-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, ivory grips, #87049. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing approx. 95% original nickel finish, very good bore, crisp markings, very good action at time of description; fine ivory grips that appear to be factory. Accompanied by a factory letter dated 1975 confirming all features except grips that are “Not listed”, shipped toBrowning Brothers & Co., Ogden, Utah on Dec. 12, 1891, one gun in shipment. It is also interesting to note that on the left side of the frame behind the Rampant Colt figure is a period stamped “B”, possibly marked by thereceiving dealer (Browning). Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
