Colt Model 1862 police .36 caliber percussion revolver with deluxe blue and case hardened finish and select burl Walnut grips, serial number 22610. The barrel shows mirror bright original blue finish with high polish of the type usually found on presentation arms. The barrel retains 80% to 90% original bright blue just thinning at the edges with just some minor marks, losses at the edges and muzzle. Showing just beginning normal age. The cylinder retains 20% to 40% original blue that is drifting at the edges and is still very bright in the flutes and where protected. The frame, loading lever and hammer show 90% to 95% original case hardening that is still fiery with brilliant blue on small parts and screws. The deluxe burl Walnut grips are of the high grade normally found on engraved or presentation arms and show 95% original varnish with a couple of minor marks and slight scratches.
