Colt Model 1862 Police Percussion Revolver with Ivory Grip
Manufactured in 1868. The top of the barrel has the one line New York address, "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame, and "36 CAL" on the left trigger guard shoulder. The cylinder is absent of the patent date marking in one of the flutes. Matching serial number on the wedge, barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder arbor pin and cylinder. Silver plated with a one piece checkered ivory grip.

Condition: Period replated. The barrel, frame, loading lever, hammer, and cylinder retain 90% period applied silver plating with some loss on the edges and some light flaking. The underside of the barrel has some blistering. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 80% original silver plating with the exposed brass having a fine aged patina. The shrunken grip is very good with age cracking (mostly on the bottom), a few small missing chips and some wear in the overall crisp checkering.
