Condition: Very good. The barrel and cylinder retain traces of the blue finish, mainly in protected areas, with the balance having a smooth gray patina. The hammer sides and protected areas of the frame show strong original case colors, some minor oxidation on the right side of the frame and the balance a smooth mottled gray patina. There are strong traces of original dark silver in protected areas of the trigger guard with a dark, untouched aged patina on the balance. The slightly undersized later production replacement ivory grip is excellent with an attractive streaked caramel patina. The cylinder scene is fully visible, the markings remain clear and the action is excellent.
