Colt Model 1862 Pocket Navy Conversion Revolver, #457, .36 cal., 4.5'' octagon barrel, originally blue and case hardened finish, with brass trigger guard and backstrap, smooth walnut grips, small brass cone front sight, and ''V''-notch rear sight located on the hammer. With one-line barrel address; patent dates in two- lines at lower left side of the frame. Visible matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. ''Mfg'd 1861. Condition is overall good, displaying a mixture of dark brown and gray patina, with general mild etching to the metal surfaces and some light erosion; confined mostly to the left side of the gun. Factory markings are legible, with approx. 40%-50% of the cylinder scene still visible. Grips with several scattered old mars, especially at the butt; with a thin piece missing from the back left edge. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore is fair with scattered areas of erosion and pronounced rifling. Est.: $700-$900. (Antique)
