Colt Model 1861 Navy Percussion Revolver
Manufactured in 1865. The top of the barrel has the standard one line New York address, "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame, and "36 CAL" on the left side of the trigger guard. The cylinder is roll engraved with the Texas Navy scene and stamped with the partial serial number. The wedge also has the correct partial serial number. The full serial number is found on the barrel, frame, brass trigger guard and brass backstrap. Fitted with a smooth varnished walnut grip.

Refinished. Overall the revolver has a smooth artificial brown patina with a gray patina on the loading lever. There is some mild pitting on the cylinder and frame. The cylinder scene is faint. The backstrap and trigger guard have an even brass patina. The refinished undersized grip is very good with a chipped toe and some scattered mild handling marks.
