Colt Model 1860 Richards Conversion Revolver
The revolver has the distinctive breech plate with notch rear sight, a center firing pin and loading gate marked "3698". The blade front sight is absent. The revolver has an ejector rod and housing with replacement checkered ejector head. The loading lever hole has been filled. The top of the barrel is marked with the one-line Colt New York address, "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side of the frame and "44 CAL" on the left trigger guard shoulder. The cylinder has the roll engraved Texas Navy scene and partial serial number (7466). The matching serial number is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Fitted with a one-piece 1860 military grip featuring a very faint cartouche on the right side.

Fair. The revolver has a mixture between a smooth dark patina and a smooth gray patina. The cylinder has some pin prick pitting with about half of the engraving remaining. The modified, bent trigger guard has some minor notches and a polished appearance. The undersized replacement grip is fair with "HN" carved deeply on the left side and filled with wood putty, along with chipped toes and some minor dings and scratches. Barrel is slightly loose otherwise action functions properly.
