Colt Model 1860 Army percussion revolver, .44 cal., 8" barrel, blue finish, small tacks in right side of grip and seed beads in the butt of the grip, #127797 with factory letter confirming features and indicating shipmentto U.S. Government Commanding Officer, New York Officer, Governor's Island, New York on July 22, 1863 in a shipment of 1,000 guns. This gun is in overall good condition showing a dark brown patina on metal surfaces, goodaction, matching visible serial numbers, dark bore, good markings and classic tacked grips with two small white seed beads inlaid into the bottom of the left side of the grips that show scattered nicks and mars to the woodand old losses to where the brass and bead decorations had once been; classic Indian look that came to auction out of Montana.
