Colt Model 1860 Army fluted cylinder percussion revolver, cut for shoulder stock, .44 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #1521. This gun is in overall very good to excellent condition showing traces of original blue finish in protected areas and approx. 80% case color on the frame and hammer; the trigger guard and the back strap show approx. 75% original silver plating with some bubbling to the finish on the lower half of the back strap. The bore is very good, the action crisp, the markings sharp with all matching visible serial numbers and good to very good grips with lots of finish, wear to the bottom of the left grip and scattered nicks and scratches primarily from attachment at one time of a shoulder stock. Given the serial number of this gun, a request for a factory letter should be pursued by the successful bidder as records might exist and might show an interesting shipping destination. Est.: $3,500-$7,000.
