Colt Model 1851 Navy conversion revolver, .36 cal., 7-1/2” octagon barrel, nickel finish, ivory grips, #1623. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing approx. 80% nickel finish on metal surfaces with scattered areas of erosion and pin prick pitting; crisp action, sharp markings, fair + bore, all matching visible serial numbers except cylinder numbered 713; majority of cylinder scene remains including engagement date; ivory grips show lots of character with age cracks and some older fitting pieces and repairs done with what appear to be silver pins on the two front toes and at the top of each grip where grips butt up to the back of the frame; approx. 65% silver finish remains on the brass trigger guard and back strap.
