This is a mahogany partitioned case for a Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver. The case has five compartments and red velvet lining. The inside of the lid has padded red velvet. The underside of the case has a paper New York retailer label. Included with the case is an unmarked powder flask and an unopened original box of six Colt combustible envelope cartridges for the Colt Revolving Belt Pistol. The double face flask has a military motif of crossed revolvers, eagle, flags, stars and cannon. The bottom of the case has an incomplete retailer's label affixed.

Condition: Fine. The exterior of the case has most of the original varnish, a hairline crack underside with some scattered minor scuffs and scratches. The faded lining has a few areas of wear from contact with the revolver, especially from the front sight and hammer spur. The partition that borers the bottom of the trigger guard has been modified to accept a large trigger guard M1851 which is a shame as this case is for the much scarcer small trigger guard. The accessories are fine.
