Very fine. The barrel retains 80% plus of the original bright blue finish with overall minor flaking and high edge wear. The exposed areas have a smooth brown patina. There are several minor dings on the right side of the lug around the wedge. The cylinder shows strong traces of the original blue mixed with a smooth brownish gray patina and the scene is a bit light, but visible. The frame shows some strong original case colors with the balance a crisp "case color shadowed" gray patina. The loading lever shows much of the original bright case colors on the left rear with the balance faded to a smooth silver gray. The trigger guard and backstrap retain 80% of the original silver darkened with age on the trigger guard bow. The exposed brass has an aged patina. The grips are excellent with 95% original varnish, some lower edge wear and a few scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
