Manufactured in 1863. The top of the barrel is marked with the faint one line New York address and the cylinder is roll engraved with the Texas naval battle scene. The complete matching serial number is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap, the loading lever in marked "1602, the cylinder and wedge "0230" and the cylinder pin "60230". Standard brass cone front and hammer notch rear sights and fitted with a one-piece varnished walnut grip.

Condition: Fine as period refurbished, with a smooth brown patina on the metal surfaces, showing some scattered blue finish. The frame is absent of the Colt patent marking. The back strap and trigger guard retain 40% silver plating and the exposed brass has an aged patina. The cylinder scene is 80% visible. The grip is good with some lower edge wear and some scattered minor dings and dents. The action is fine.
