Colt Model 1851 Martial U.S. Navy percussion revolver, .36 cal., 7-1/2” octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #70754 in overall un-cleaned good to very good condition showing traces of original blue in protected areas of the barrel, some original cylinder scene showing on cylinder surface that appears generally pitted or disturbed on the surface some time ago but with considerable patina now present; all matching serial numbers including wedge andcylinder arbor except the rammer which is numbered 1989; both the frame and rammer show considerable muted original case colors; the action is crisp, the markings very good and the bore is fair +. The grips are very good the a faintly visibleinspector’s cartouche on both the left and right grips. The gun is accompanied by a modern-made wood casing with partitioned interior that is lined and containing a double cavity Colt’s Patent iron bullet mold, an Eley London cap tin, and anaged modern brass powder flask.
