Antique Colt Model 1851 4th Type Navy Percussion Revolver, #131447, .36 cal., 7.5'' octagonal barrel fitted with a German silver blade front sight marked on top ''Address Col Saml Colt New-York U.S. America'' in one line; round 6-shot cylinder is roll engraved with the familiar naval battle scene and marked ''Colt's Patent 131447 (faint)'' within two lines; frame is marked ''Colts/Patent'' in two lines on left side; brass gripstraps; varnished one-piece walnut grips. Mfg'd 1862, originally with blued barrel and cylinder, case hardened frame, hammer, lever and plunger, and silver-plated straps. Grips with minor use marks and highpoint wear, a small chip at bottom front, and retaining approx. 75% original varnish. All serial numbers match including wedge and lever. Pistol is tight and appears factory original with the exception of the front sight, which is a very nicely done addition. Est.: $800-$1,200. (Antique)
