An untouched Colt Model 1849 Pocket Pistol, Circa: 1861. It has a ''4'' barrel. The calibre is .31 with the rare ''Hartford Address'' on the barrel. All markings are clear and sharp with matching numbers all. There is good evidence of the stagecoach holdup scene remaining on the cylinder. The grips have 90% of the original varnish with traces of silver still on the backstrap. No original blue remains after 151 years. The action is crisp and tight with good lockup. The Colt 1849 Pocket cap & ball revolver was very popular during the Civil War and used by both the Union and the Confederacy through 1861-1867.
