Colt Military Model 1873 U.S. marked and Ainsworth inspected SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #9934. This desirable martial gun is in overall very good + conditionshowing a dark plum colored patina on the barrel and cylinder with scattered spots of pitting confined primarily to the muzzle area of the barrel; some traces of case color on the frame with balance gone to a mixedsilvery and brown patina finish; fine bore, crisp action, all matching visible serial numbers, clear markings including early italicized barrel address; overall fine grips with visible “OWA” inspector’s cartouche onthe left grip with just a couple of small mars confined primarily to the butt areas. A very nice collector’s quality Ainsworth. Est.: $12,500-$25,000.
