You are bidding on a Like New example of a Colt Huntsman .22 LR 6" Semi Auto Pistol. The pistol features a 6”-barrel, checkered wood grips, fixed sights, one 10 round magazine, factory Colt Huntsman box and Colt papers. This pistol shows a 95%-98% original Colt Blue finish. The Colt Woodsman is a semi-automatic sporting pistol manufactured by the American Colt's Manufacturing Company from 1915 to 1977. It was designed by John Moses Browning. The frame design changed over time, in three distinct series: series one being 1915–1941, series two 1947–1955, and series three being 1955–1977. Colt changed the design of the Woodsman in 1955. The three Models remained the same, but the markings, grips and sights underwent slight changes. The most significant was relocating the magazine release from the rear of the trigger guard to the heel of the grip as on the first series. Colt also introduced new models, such as the less expensive Challenger and Huntsman Models equipped with fixed sights. From 1960 walnut stocks with a thumb rest were optional, in place of the standard black plastic stocks. The pistol shows Like New condition, with little to no wear. Mechanics are tight and smooth. The box shows some storage wear. The firearm includes a factory Colt Huntsman box that is marked with a serial number of 176152-C and is circa 1968. This is a Modern firearm manufactured in 1974 with a serial number of 061627S. The wood shows some dings, but overall the firearm is in very good condition. Modern firearm requires an FFL transfer or NICS background check required.
