Made in 1914, with the slide later replaced. Fixed sights, with the two line, one block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45" next to the Rampant Colt on the right and "178/ 424" around the firing pin. Frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number on the right side, with a checkered hammer, slide catch, safety and magazine catch, checkered grips and lanyard loops on the butt and magazine. An "R" has been hand scratched into the barrel lug. With a Kraft-style box hand numbered to gun.

Condition: Very good as professionally refinished, with 98% of the high polish blue, showing mild handling marks overall. A crack is visible in the right panel, otherwise grips are good. Box shows some minor staining and wear. Mechanically excellent.
