Colt Etched Panel New Line 41 Pocket Revolver with British Birmingham Proofs
Manufactured in 1877, later passing through the Proofhouse at Birmingham. Fixed sights, with the two line address on top of the barrel, acid etched "COLT NEW 41" panel on the left side and patent marks ahead of the cylinder pin cutout. Marked "41 CAL C" on the left side of the frame, with a niter blue loading gate, hammer and trigger and an extra long knurled cylinder pin. The upper left side of the barrel is stamped with a pair of crossed scepter proofs, repeated in the cylinder flues. Smooth birds head grips.

Condition: Very fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing patches of brown and gray patina concentrated on the barrel, with original blue strongest in the flues. 60% of the original bright case colors remain, with a dull gray patina on the gripstraps and around the trigger. Grips are very good, with light pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
