#5481, matching numbers on frame and cylinder swing – out frame. Cal. 45 Colt Barrel 7 ½" Stamped top of barrel "Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing CO. Hartford, Ct. U.S.A. Pat. Aug 5, 1884 – June 5, 1900". Left side of barrel stamped "New Service 45 Colt". Rampant Colt Logo with New Service stamped left side of frame. Original hard rubber Colt Oval Grips with no chips or cracks, butt also has lanyard ring which swivels. Comes with its original Military Style Holster and Cartridge Belt. Firearm is in excellent condition showing some holster wear on the high edges but retains much of its original bluing. Enclosed note indicating prior ownership dated 6-7-98. Carl W. Tong purchased the “Colt New Service" Revolver #5481 from Robert K. King. King had purchased the Colt from the estate sale of a retired “Senior Officer" of the British Columbia Provincial Police. I, Michael Westergard, purchased it from Carl Tong in the Fall of 1998. Colt’s letter states that #5481 was shipped to J.H. Ashdown in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on February 25, 1901. Requires FFL Transfer.
