Manufactured in 1936, this model was created by modifying an Officer's Model frame to accept a special flat single shot "cylinder". Colt only manufactured about 2,488 of these single shot pistols from 1926 to 1941. The Camp Perry actually appeared in 1920, but were manufactured in very limited quantities, (64), and were mainly experimental prototypes. Colt named this model after the site of the U.S. Target Competition held annually at Camp Perry, Ohio. Standard "CAMP PERRY MODEL" stamped on the left side of the "cylinder". The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/1905 & 1926 patent dates, "CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE" on the left side and the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. The Colt "VP" triangle proof on the lower left side of the frame ahead of the trigger, and the serial number is marked on the crane. Elevation adjustable front blade and windage adjustable notch rear sights. Fitted with smooth ivory grips with silver Colt medallions. The accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 to Kruse Hardware Company, Cincinnati, Ohio on December 30, 1936.
