Colt Bisley revolver, .44-40 caliber, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, serial #203098. The pistol remains in original good to very good condition showing 30-50% original blue and case hardening, some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting and normal aging. The barrel shows Bisley model, Colt frontier 6-shooter marking, the edges are good, the markings are sharp. The front sight is slimmed just a tiny bit on the edge. There is some bright blue and case hardening where protected. The grips are very good showing edge wear and fit perfectly. The action is tight, the bore is good to very good and may clean. An old collection tag is attached, John Wilson #18. John Wilson was a well-known collector whose family ran ranches in Texas and New Mexico since the early frontier days. He acquired guns from many Western personalities as did his forefathers and many of his guns that we have sold have lettered to Western shipments. Est: $1,250 - 2500
