Colt Bisley Model Single Action Revolver, #274998, .38 WCF (.38-40) cal., 4.75'' round barrel with standard sights, marked with maker's name and Hartford address in two lines on top, and ''(Bisley Model) 38 W.C.F.'' on left side; fluted round 6-shot cylinder; solid frame has right-side loading gate (batch numbered ''2755''), characteristic low hammer spur, two-line 1871-72-75 patent dates and an encircled Rampant Colt logo on left side; ''humped'' steel gripstraps have two-piece checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt in an oval panel at top. Mfg'd ca. 1906. Condition is very good. Frame shows case colors at front but is otherwise silvered out, trigger guard retains 20% original blue, flutes and rear of cylinder retain most Colt blue, trigger sides with bright fire-blue, the balance of the metal is smooth gunmetal gray. Grips with moderately worn checkering, three chips at left bottom but no real damage and fit well. Edges and markings are sharp; action is smooth; bore is clean with scattered etching toward rear and sharp rifling. Est.: $750-$1,000. (C&R/PPT)
