Colt Bisley Flattop Target Model SA revolver, .38 Special cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue finish, fancy checkered and fleur d’lis wood grips with stippled grip straps and trigger, #161291. This gun is in overall excellent condition as re-barreled and re-cylindered to .38 Special caliber, likely by the Colt factory given the quality of this work; the bore is fine, the action crisp, the gun displays approx. 97% of its restored finish with just some slight muzzle wear on the left side, fine deluxe grips. Given the quality of this work, it may be possible this was a factory job done for former President of Colt Firearms, Albert Foster. Further research of this gun with the Colt Historian’s Office would seem warranted. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
