'First Generation' Single action six-shot revolver chambered in .45 Colt, circa 1907. Features a blued/case hardened finish, 5 1/2" barrel with single line address, ejector rod, blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, wide low-profile hammer spur, smooth trigger, fluted cylinder, and Rampant Colt two-piece checkered black hard rubber grips. Includes a Colt factory letter which confirms it's configuration and states it was shipped to Witte Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri on June 28, 1907 in a two gun shipment. Markings are clear and all serial numbers match. Revolver exhibits little remaining finish with only trace amounts retained in protected areas and the balance of the metal surfaces turned to a nice aged dark grey patina. The cylinder pin head has been modified with no remaining grooves as it has been ground smooth. Action is crisp with four clicks, bore is good with light rifling and grips are good with wear & a small loss to the top of the right panel. Condition is good+. ***C&R Firearm*** ***Modern Firearm***
