Vintage Colt Bisley manufactured 1907. The features of this revolver are as follows: 4 3/4" barrel with blade front sight and frame notch rear sight. Two line block letter address on top of the barrel, "(BISLEY MODEL) Feint, unreadable and 32 W.C.F." , clear, on the left side of the barrel and the left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt., Rampant Colt is a little feint but visible. The frame and hammer were casehardened, and the remaining metal surfaces were blue. Wide low hammer spur and wide trigger with characteristic "humpback" grip. Matching serial number on frame, trigger guard and backstrap, and the loading gate is numbered "2291. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof, and the left rear is marked with the letter "T". Fitted with two piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the tops. The bore is fair to good, strong rifling, some scattered light pitting, action is crisp/smooth, grips are very good overall, there is a small a little more handling wear on the right panel, the finish on the barrel, ejector housing, triggerguard and backstrap are mostly in the white with traces of blue in protected areas, the frame and cylinder have a gray/blue appearance from an old bad reblue leaving two of the screws and two of the rear of the screws with a copper color, copper sulfate in the old bluing solutions will do this. Marking are clear except where noted. The cylinder pin and mainspring appear to be newer replacements. There is writing lightly scratched on the inside if the grip panels which we can't made out except for a name that appears to be " Ernest Fraill".
