Colt Bijan designer revolver, Detective special model, serial number Bijan 83, in .38 special caliber, 2” barrel, royal blue finish with gold plated cylinder, ejector rod and small parts with wraparound walnutstocks shipped to Wendy Burr at Colt Firearms Hartford, Conn. On June 2, 1993. Under remarks, the factory letter states, “The special edition offering above-described revolver incorporates the Bijan logo in 24karat gold and also number 83 on right side. The front sight and frame is gold inlaid with gold plated small parts”. Also the letter states that originally 100 were ordered by Bijan but only 30 were delivered. Theremaining 70 lots that were not delivered were sold to Colt employees of which Wendy Burr was so employed. The revolver is contained within a factory presentation display case which is in excellent condition. The revolver shows no evidence of firing or use and is near mint at least 99% plus original finish. Also includes cardboard box end label Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
