Colt Baby Dragoon .31 caliber percussion revolver with 4” barrel in very good condition, serial number 7619. The barrel shows strong traces of blue mixed in a brown patina finish. There is some pitting on theleft side of barrel about the size of a thumb and a smaller area pitting at the breach. There is also some small nicks. The reverse barrel address is fully legible. The cylinder shows a strong 75% to 85% Indian fight scene and clearly visible Colt’s patent. The backstrap and trigger guard show traces of darkened original silver plate. The Slim Jim grips fit well and show about 30% varnish with some small losses, a couple of chips and mars. The action is frozen. All matching visible serial numbers and the backstrap screw is marred. A far better than average Baby Dragoon with a high percentage of original cylinder scene. This Colt wouldimprove with minor repair and slight restoration. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
