Colt 3rd Model Dragoon, .44 caliber percussion revolver, 4-screw, cut for shoulder stock. With accompanying shoulder stock. Serial #16508. The dragoon remains in original good to very good condition showing traces of blue mixed with a brown patina on the barrel. Some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting, some dents at the edges, marks at the wedge port. Some slightly heavier pitting at the breech and muzzle from firing, but generally good metal surfaces with good barrel address. The cylinder shows 10-20% light cylinder scene with some dings, dents, and light to moderate pitting. The frame shows 10-20% case hardening drifting to a grey patina with some considerable color. The stocks are good with some dings and mars and a faint outline of a partial cartouche. The folding rear sight is retained but shows slight damage. The markings are good, all matching visible serial numbers. The wedge is an older replacement and the action is not working. An old collection tag is attached to the triggerguard with a number “123” written on it. The stock shows matching serial numbers and some light to moderate pitting and erosion. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
