Colt #3 derringer, blue and nickel finish, varnish wood grips, serial number “4990” in original good to very good condition. The barrel retains approx. 30-50% original blue drifting to patina with some loss on the left side of the barrel from being carried on the person. Some scattered light to moderate erosion and normal wear. A couple of nicks on the back edge of the barrel breech from closing with the hammer down. Approx. 90% original nickel, some losses at high points and edges. Varnish wood grips are good to very good with some wear, slight losses, and normal aging. Good sharp barrel address, strong case hardening on the hammer, very good interior. With inventory sheet from the Charles DuPont collection, purchased from Chris Anderson, 1979. Est: $700 - $1,400
