Colt #3 derringer, .41 caliber rimfire, early high hammer, curved grip, deluxe or factory scroll engraved, traces of silver and blue finish, varnished rosewood grips, serial #5828 with “E” marking beneath frame. The pistol shows very profuse and deluxe engraving with extra treatment on top of barrel and around breech where hammer enters the barrel. The barrel shows traces of original blue drifted to a grayish patina with some light erosion and sharp edges. The frame shows 10-20% original silver, which is drifted and toned to patina. There is an unusual .41 caliber marking on the right top of frame, just by the curved ridge where the barrel locks into the frame. Note: We have only seen this marking on two other engraved derringers. The burl walnut grips show 50% varnish with some wear at the edges. The hammer and trigger show some bright original colors. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
