Colt 2nd model dragoon, .44 caliber percussion revolver, US martially marked, cartouched wood grip, serial #9850. The revolver remains in original good to very good condition showing a brown patina finish with some slight traces of blue mixed in. The metal surfaces show some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting, the edges are fairly sharp, and the barrel address is crisp. The cylinder shows strong traces of cylinder scene, perhaps as much as 10%. The frame, hammer, and loading lever show traces of case hardening within a grayish brown patina. The grips show some small losses at the edges, some even wear, some small chips at toes with outline of initials and cartouche visible on each grip. All matching visible serial numbers including wedge. The bore is bright and near excellent and several screws show original blue. An above-average 2nd model dragoon that just saw some carry and natural aging but is quite sharp. From the Bernard Braverman Estate. Est: $7,000 - $14,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
