Colt 1st Generation SAA revolver, .32 W.C.F. cal., 4-3/4” barrel, custom engraved with custom silver and gold finish, faux ivory Colt medallion grips, #332476 in overall fine condition as modern engraved by Bob Barlow of Datil, NM, showing beautifully accomplished scroll work and styling reminiscent of the late 1800’s engravers in America; 99% + of the custom silver finish is present on the barrel, frame and straps while the cylinder, ejector rod housing, hammer and trigger are gold plated and displaying clearly 99%+ of that finish too. The gun is accompanied by a display case and also a factory letter confirming the barrel length, indicating the gun left the factory as a .38/40 (factory records error?), blue finish, grips “Not Listed”, with a shipping destination of Witte Hardware Co., St. Louis, Mo. on March 14, 1916 with 1 gun in shipment. A true work of firearm artistry in superb condition. Est.: $1,750-$3,250.
